Donating to ISCA-AIDC

The ability of ISCA is to deliver and support much-needed sustainable agriculture and animal- health-related initiatives. Educational workshops, animal health & business trainings, livelihoods and infrastructure support has been made possible through generous contributions from Canadian and international donors, the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT), through fundraising and close collaboration with the Atlantic Veterinary College and through our partnership with the Foundation for International Development Assistance (FIDA) / productive cooperatives Haiti (pcH) in Canada and Haiti.

There are many ways you can contribute to our efforts! You can participate in our fund raising events, volunteer with us at home or possibly even in one of our overseas projects or you can make an online donation.

If you have questions on how best you can support ISCA's sustainable development work in Haiti and elsewhere please contact our chair Lloyd Dalziel at: ldalziel@isca-aidc.ca

ISCA's Business Partnership Program

Today, many businesses are seeking ways to stand out in the market place by aligning themselves with their customers' desire to make a difference in the world by lending a helping hand in countries less fortunate than Canada. The benefits are four-fold:

  1. The mission statement of your company is reinforced when it resonates with the mission of your chosen charity.
  2. Customers and employees can respect and respond to a business whose mission statement and practice is in harmony with making a better world for our children.
  3. Energy and enthusiasm within, and for, the business is strengthened through support for and participation in sustainable development work such as that undertaken by ISCA.
  4. Knowledge and hands-on learning opportunities are expanded when a business partners with a sustainable development organization. For example, ISCA offers opportunities for volunteer tours that allows employees to help out in infrastructure development and educational workshops and through this experience come to understand how to appropriately and respectfully make a real difference in the world.

Our Policy

We at ISCA understand and respect donors need for assurance that the money raised by charity organization is used in the way that most benefits the people of developing communities and as such ISCA is committed to transparency in all our financial matters.

ISCA receives support from three areas: individual donations, government development programs and client self funded activities.

Individual donations: Unless explicitly stated otherwise by donor, all individual donations are earmarked and used for development in the countries ISCA-AIDC is active in. Our goal is to have at least 95% of monies received through individual donations spent on project implementation and development in the countries we are working in.

Government program funding: These funding expenditures are determined by government department policy and are audited by the department providing the financial resources.

Client funded projects: Expenditures will include delivering specific client services and project implementation.

ISCA finances, third party oversight: As an incorporated registered not-for-profit organization under the PEI Corporations act, ISCA finances are audited annually and filed with Corporate affairs.
